Festive Selection.

Whether it is glamming up for the festive season or buying some last minute gifts, Select is the place to shop. There is currently a sale on with 50% off. If you are still stuck for gift ideas, at Select you will find cute little stocking fillers for as little as £3/£4. These stocking fillers include handy items such as winter warmers. The receipt of tacky, useless presents can be a problem. Select have a classic range of scarves, gloves, and hats etc which are a godsend during the cold season.

The shops are mayhem at the moment; this is where the Select online store and facebook pages are handy. If you spend £20 or more there is free delivery. You can cover party clothing and Christmas shopping in one, without pushing through crowds of people, de-icing the car or worrying about parking.

You do not need to limit the shopping to just presents for others, why not treat yourself and look glam for the festive season. There is a sale on tea dresses for a party for as little as £10. Why not accessorise your look for as little as £4.

At this time of year finances are also an issue, where people want to enjoy the festivities of parties and giving gifts, without breaking the bank. Select offer reasonably priced clothing, jewellery, shoes, accessories and more without scrimping on quality or style. Check out the deals at www.selectfashion.co.uk.

2016 in Pictures- The High's within the Low's!

I mentioned in my last post what an adventure 2016 was for me. Among the toxins that were in my life ,on the creative side I’ve actually surprised myself at how much I achieved. This is a positive step towards starting the new year. It is easy to feel disheartened about the resolutions that never came into play the previous year, to the point that we do not bother making any the following year. I’ve learnt we should always look for the positives and not dwell on the negatives. It is actually the better level of success with my writing that made me realise that this is the path I would like to follow professionally and that the end of certain chapters in my life were a sign that writing is my new chapter. Here is a list (where possible with pictures) of some of my 2016 writing highlights: De Monfort university bookshop stocked one of my books, the anthology I wrote for young adults. I was invited to Moat Community College to conduct a writing workshop as part of ...

More Manic Mondays

As if my Mondays were not manic enough with juggling motherhood, writing, a day job, domestics and legal antics, yes my case is still going on! I have now decided to embark on another venture by becoming an Ambassador for a company called Tropic Skincare. The company was founded by Susan Maa of the television series The Apprentice with investment from Lord Sugar.   I am still in the start up stages of this new venture but already I have gained so much from it, on many levels.   In this post I will talk mainly about my own personal benefits of the products. From my previous blog pieces my followers will know my life is not just busy but stressful. The products from tropic skincare that I have recently converted to, have not just given me a skincare regime. I have also adopted    a more holistic way of life.   The products are 100 per cent vegan and chemical free and work at a therapeutic level. The eye roll on for example has helped me with ...

Locked in reflection!

I have been contemplating starting my blog again for a while now.  When the  lock down was announced I set myself a to do list of both work related goals and practical ones, but also some fun, creative goals. Among them was starting my blog again. This post has been drafted and edited several times in the last few weeks as other things take over. Homeschooling a pre-teen and keeping on top of my own day job has delayed the plan very slightly.  The last time I blogged  was at the beginning of 2017. This lock down has certainly brought out a more reflective side in me. In. I would say it is an invaluable time to take stock and reflect on life in general. We can really look at where we were to where we are now to where we would like to be. There is probably a reason why I have started my blog again during lock down.  Looking back at some of the blog archives, I remember what a different place I was back then.  It may seem like my blog has been quiet for th...
