All About Timing.

Exactly this time last year when I published my self help book "The Divorce Toolbox" I was also invited on a radio show to not only talk about the book but also discuss the topic "why is divorce on the increase in Asian society." Following Imran Khan's recent announcement to divorce after just nine months of marriage the same radio show invited  me to take part in a discussion asking the question "is nine months too early to end  a marriage and how long should we give a marriage before making that decision?

There will be other guests taking part in the discussion and listeners are are very welcome to phone in and  give their input. This is a very thought provoking topic that can be approached from several angles with a variety of insights. As someone who is divorced and written a book on it I certainly have many of my own views on this and look forward to sharing them with listeners.

The show is BBC West Millands 95.6 a show called Midlands Masala with Arshia Riyaz. Tune in on Sunday 1st November  at 6:30pm (UK time) look forward to hearing from you.

Tropical Summer

Over the summer period make the best of the sale at Tropic skincare. As well as the products I mentioned in the previous post, here are some popular items that my customers have requested in skincare and make- up.   Tamanu Balm- Great for preventing sun burn and mosquito bites.   Mineral Foundation- Much lighter than heavy based liquid foundations at this time of year with extra sweating from the sun.   Gel Eye Liner- When I tried a sample of this on my hand I had to do a lot of scrubbing to get it off, now I am a convert to the product, my mum has purchased one too. Great to avoid make up melt down, no need for touch ups throughout the day.     Mineral Eye Shadow- For when you want to glam it up on a summer evening check out this lightweight product, check the website for marked down prices.   To find out more about these and other sun glamming and survival products please check out my website   www.tropicsk...

The winning entry- The Curse of Dirty Dothan

A bit later than anticipated but here it is. The joint winning Dirty Dothan story from the workshop;  The Curse of Dirty Dothan  Marsha Mindfull normally kept away from village fetes but something  had drawn her here today. She approached the hall recognising Daniel's  footprints in the snow. She reminisced about the time they went skinny  dipping. His big footprints nearly revealed their affair.  The familiar scent of cigar smoke coming from the hall startled her.  She tried the handle. Locked. She placed her ear to the door. mumbling  came from within.      "Daniel!" She shrieked. No reply.  She glanced around, making certain no one saw, before turning into a  gaseous state and seeping in through the keyhole.      "You!"      "Welcome to the party," said Dothan, Queen of the Dark Faye.      "SUCCUBUS! What have you done with Daniel?"   ...

More Manic Mondays

As if my Mondays were not manic enough with juggling motherhood, writing, a day job, domestics and legal antics, yes my case is still going on! I have now decided to embark on another venture by becoming an Ambassador for a company called Tropic Skincare. The company was founded by Susan Maa of the television series The Apprentice with investment from Lord Sugar.   I am still in the start up stages of this new venture but already I have gained so much from it, on many levels.   In this post I will talk mainly about my own personal benefits of the products. From my previous blog pieces my followers will know my life is not just busy but stressful. The products from tropic skincare that I have recently converted to, have not just given me a skincare regime. I have also adopted    a more holistic way of life.   The products are 100 per cent vegan and chemical free and work at a therapeutic level. The eye roll on for example has helped me with ...
